I have been in a similar situation

I at one time worked as an Admin Asst for ITPE. I was discriminated against by my direct supervisor and after I filed a greivance with the President of ITPE, I was terminated. I went to the NLRB and both charges were dropped by the agency. I also went to the EEOC and filed with them. Again, this was dropped.

I was supposed to be a member, as ITPE takes dues from its own employees (you can't work for them if you don't pay) but gives the employees no greivance procedures nor are they covered by a collective bargaining agreement. I was offered $125.00 to shut my mouth and drop the charges. I did not take the money, but the charges were dropped anyway.

I am trying to find an attorney in my area and think that I have found one, however she has not called back. Any input would be appreciated. This all happened in Washington State
